I understand from the ad that the vibration increases with great pressure, but does the vibration slow down when the pressure is lowered? (ie so that the reward is only for constant squeezing?)

When the pressure is let off the vibrations stop. If you find a vibration level you like and want to keep it at that level you can lock it at that speed.
